N6VMO Amateur Satellite Operations

N6VMO's satellite operations started in the early 1990s on the Russian RS vehicles. It progressed to working FO-20, AO-10 and AO-13 using mode JA (144Mhz Up/432MHz Down). The station consisted of a Yaesu FT-221all mode 2M transceiver, homebrew 144MHz 45W SSPA and Hamtronics 432/28MHz receive downconverter into an FT-101.

Briefly operated AO-40 using CW, SSB and SSTV with a Kenwood TS-790A, a Mirage 432 SSPA in to a 14 element x-yagi, a 2.3GHz/144MHz down converter and 3M offset fed dish.

The single channel FM birds do not interest me.
